What Gatherly does
Gatherly lets you design an invitation, publish it as a link, collect replies and meal choices, keep a gift list and check guests in on the day. We give you the tools; the event itself is yours to run.
Your account
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at contact@thimral.com if you think someone else has got into it.
Your content
Your words, pictures and designs stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them to the people you share your invitation with, which is what makes the service work. That permission ends when you delete the content.
Only upload pictures you are allowed to use. Do not upload anything you do not have the rights to.
Templates, fonts and artwork
The templates, artwork and fonts in Gatherly are for designing your own invitations. You may not extract them, resell them, or offer them as a design library of your own.
Fair use
Do not use Gatherly to:
- break the law, or harass, threaten or deceive anyone;
- send bulk unsolicited messages;
- pretend to be someone else, or imply an event is run by a business that has not agreed to it;
- upload harmful software, or try to break into, overload or probe the service;
- collect other people’s details for anything other than your own event.
Your guests’ information
When you add people to a guest list or collect replies, you are handling other people’s personal information. You must have a proper reason to hold it, use it only for your event, and follow South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act or the equivalent law where you are. Our privacy policy explains what we do with it on your behalf.
Cost
Gatherly is free to use at the moment. If we introduce paid plans we will say so clearly before you are asked to pay, and an invitation that is already published and shared will keep working for your guests.
Availability
We work to keep Gatherly running, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or withdraw features. For a change that would affect an event you have already shared, we will give you notice where we reasonably can.
Ending it
You can delete your events or your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other people at risk.
Where we stand
Gatherly is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will suit a particular purpose or be free of faults. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, or an event that does not go to plan. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot be limited.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
Changes
If these terms change we will update the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we will say so in the app.
